چکیده
This study aimed to delineate the intrusion body that controls structural setting and formation around river Niger-Benue confluence zone with particular attention its solid mineral potentials, this is achieved in mapping subsurface features through analysis of recent high-resolution aeromagnetic (HRAM) data-sets purpose examining their effects on geological structures characterize zones from area. To obtain necessary reduction geomagnetic variation, measurements regional gradients time variation were used. After applying magnetic equator (RTE) corrected data was obtained Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, NGSA, it possible determine expansions units for both qualitative quantitative interpretations. In addition, edge detection method used depict buried anomalies. Different handling processes applied data, such as local wavenumber (SPI), power spectrum analysis, Euler Werner deconvolution analysis. The RTE anomaly caused by anomalous delineated six sub-basins low amplitude response, which agrees total gradient (analytic signal) tilt angle derivative clearly outlined edges lithostratigraphic zones. sub-basin are southern Bida basin northern Anambra basin. source parameter imagings well major depth. Results showed area affected different lineament trending NE-SW, E-W, S-E trends. Directional indicates dominant trend fault orientations. estimated depth top lineaments average varies 0.3 km 4.6 relatively deeper basins compared surrounding areas giving clues amount sediment infill. متن کاملHigh spatial resolution subsurface microscopy
We present a high-spatial-resolution subsurface microscopy technique that significantly increases the numerical aperture of a microscope without introducing an additional spherical aberration. Consequently, the diffraction-limited spatial resolution is improved beyond the limit of standard subsurface microscopy. By realizing a numerical aperture of 3.4, we experimentally demonstrate a lateral s...
متن کاملASTER night-time thermal infrared data: interpreting subsurface features from high resolution data
Night-time thermal infrared (NTIR) data provides an additional and potentially valuable source of information for mineral explorers. This technology is used for locating palaeocoastal heavy mineral sands and palaeochannels for uranium and placer deposits. To date, the most frequently used thermal imagery is derived from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Advanced Very Hi...
متن کاملminiMDS: 3D structural inference from high-resolution Hi-C data
Motivation Recent experiments have provided Hi-C data at resolution as high as 1 kbp. However, 3D structural inference from high-resolution Hi-C datasets is often computationally unfeasible using existing methods. Results We have developed miniMDS, an approximation of multidimensional scaling (MDS) that partitions a Hi-C dataset, performs high-resolution MDS separately on each partition, and ...
